America's Subversive Problem, We The People's Full Solution
Let's "provide for the common defence" of our Self-Governance and Five Kinds of Public Good all under assault from withinby Dan Ruuska Version 1, revision 03.14.08
Attention all citizens, groups, and media who want to help foster America's public/national interest -- principled self-governance (unfettered democratic processes, truly representative governance) and the five kinds of public good listed in the first sentence of our Constitution (justice, domestic tranquility needed for cooperative unity, common defense, general welfare, liberty) -- including full homeland/national security of government of/by, and for, We the People: To succeed don't play by the rules of "rigged market-based democracy," our present form of democracy that assures loss of self-governance and public good. Use "real American democracy" instead. Mount a resolute homeland/national defense against the relatively few Americans who altered our real American democracy into a rigged market-based democracy during the past generation, and who today morph our government of/by/for We the People into a government of/by/for Wealth and Power and take wealth and power from the public -- huge sums of financial wealth, five kinds of well-being wealth that form the common-good bedrock of the American Dream, and supreme self-governance power -- all so very skillfully most citizens can't see who they are OR the wrong and harm they inflict. Neutralize their subversive power. Heal their wounds to our principled self-governance and five kinds of public good.
Consolidated American wealth-and-power, and their media machine, have made sure you CAN'T carry out that civic responsibility -- IF you have fallen and REMAIN victim to the subversive methods and harmful effects, and thereby play by the rules, of the non-American democracy they stealthily altered American democracy into during the past quarter century.
America now has a "rigged market-based democracy:" a form of democracy that 1) frees homeland wealth-and-power aided by their media machine to consolidate, grow in strength, and take wealth and power from citizens -- financial wealth, well-being wealth, and self-governance power -- and 2) blocks citizens, and America as a whole, from seeing and stopping that wrong and harm.
Rigged market-based democracy is aided and abetted by wealth-and-power's "communications" consolidation: their advertising/PR/news/entertainment, print/radio/TV/film/web media machine. By controlling information and by spinning a wealth-and-power slant -- and by using deceive-and-manipulate persuasion skills such as "hide-behind-good/shift-the-blame" deceptions and "divide-and-conquer" manipulations -- that information monopoly and persuasion weapon tricks the public to think and act in wealth-and-power's interest and against the public/national interest AND weakens the ability and will of We the People to "provide for the common defence" against wealth-and-power's war on self-governance and public good.
Due to the wild success of consolidated American wealth-and-power and their media machine and their rigged market-based democracy during the past few decades, America as a whole is no longer aware of the nature and purpose of "real American democracy" -- the principled self-governance and five kinds of public good ordained in our Constitution and Bill of Rights -- or of the supreme power and supreme responsibility of We the People, who are the government of America, to provide and protect that self-governance and public good.
To stop the assaults on our self-governance and public good, and to heal the wounds to our self-governance and public good, a first step is to see the assaults and the wounds -- and expose the Americans who inflict them.
What happened? American wealth/corporate power, executive/legislative/judicial federal powers, intelligence/military power, red/blue political-party power, mass-media power, Christian-Right religious power -- powers wisely kept separated in the past in accordance with our Three Charters of Freedom -- around 1980 began to stealthily consolidate into a right-wing juggernaut for taking and hoarding wealth and power. That consolidated American wealth-and-power, including their media machine, is the right wing (10% of the public). Using the media machine they set up and the rigged market-based democracy they installed, they overran the homeland-security system the Framers wired into our Constitution and Bill of Rights to protect America and We the People from harm by homeland wealth-and-power, they breached the national security of our self-governance and full range of public good, and today they busily and stealthily take huge sums of financial wealth, five kinds of well-being wealth that form the common-good bedrock of the American Dream, and supreme self-governance power from conservatives and liberals (90% of the public).
To prevent civic-minded citizens and groups and media from joining and working together to foster the whole public/national interest, the right and their media machine disguise the right as "conservative" and their media as "liberal," they fragment the general public and the public interest into myriad self-interests and then foment those divisions to compete and clash, they trick us to focus on and chase single-issue bits and pieces of the right's wrongdoing in order to prevent us from seeing and solving the entire war-on-self-governance-and-public-good problem as successfully as America's founders did, and they cleansed the total concept and most content of "America's whole public/national interest" from America's public mind.
Unlike how the enemy of 1776 took wealth and power from the public and unlike how the public revolted against that unfairness back then, today the wealth-and-power-taking process is subtle -- rigged market-based democracy assisted by a media machine -- and the foe is disguised as friend and is winning big with feeble resistance from the well-armed public they are busily taking wealth and power from.
As evidence of market-based-democracy's harm to our democratic processes and representative governance, and as testament to the success of wealth-and-power's media machine, our usual methods of good citizenship and active democracy -- including reading and watching the news to stay informed, writing letters to the editor and blogging on the web, working on self-governance and common-good issues, whistleblowing in the public interest, engaging in principled dissent, contacting our Senators and Congressperson, supporting our favorite political party, voting in every election -- barely work anymore.
No matter what civic action we undertake, and no matter who we vote for, total annual citizen losses of wealth and power from the nearly 300 million Americans NOT at the top of the wealth-and-power heap -- losses of financial and well-being wealth, losses of self-governance power -- continue to rise. More so when we elect reds. Less so when we elect blues.
The mounting losses of self-governance and public good within America that began around 1980 -- stemming from the breach of homeland/national security of America's self-governance and public good -- is kept out of our national news and political debate by those who committed the breach and are causing the losses: consolidated American wealth-and-power and their media machine.
The red and blue parties, and today's media, do not address this #1 issue. America needs a new political party, and a reformed media, who will.
In the late 18th century, the founders of our republic confronted and defeated a British consolidated-wealth-and-power enemy and created true American democracy. Today, We the People must face and neutralize an American consolidated-wealth-and-power enemy to restore and grow "real American democracy:" a form of democracy that fosters the principled self-governance and bountiful public good demanded in our Declaration of Independence, won during the American Revolution, symbolized by our Flag, and ordained in our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Without unfettered democratic processes, we lose truly representative governance and thus our self-governance. Without self-governance, we lose our five kinds of public good that form the common-good bedrock of the American Dream. The self-governance and public-good goals of America are stated in the Preamble of our Constitution; the purpose of true American democracy is to achieve those goals; the Articles and Amendments rule how to achieve them. Consolidated homeland wealth-and-power aided by their media machine -- using the rigged market-based democracy they replaced our real American democracy with -- are violating the Preamble and Articles and Amendments, in technicality and spirit, as they strip away self-governance and public good during their taking and hoarding of our wealth and our power.
Here's how to uninstall rigged market-based democracy, how to neutralize the Americans behind it and forever keep their harmfulness in check, and how to reinstall America's principle-based democracy and grow its many well-being benefits: deploy and wield CivicPowerUSA.org, a democracy weapon and tool that bares America's dangerous subversive problem that began to flare up around 1980 -- consolidated American wealth-and-power, and their media machine, breached the homeland/national security of America's self-governance and public good and like the enemy of 1776 are waging war on self-governance and public good -- and illuminates the surefire full solution ready and waiting in our Three Charters of Freedom.
How severely have the right and their media machine crippled our democratic processes and corrupted our representative governance, and how do they do it? To what huge extent have they hurt our equal justice for all, our domestic tranquility needed for unity and cooperation toward self-governance and public good, our common defense of self-governance and public good, our general welfare of many kinds, our liberty and its privacies and freedoms? How much money do they stealthily take from us yearly, and what are their numerous methods of mass mining our wealth? During the process of taking our wealth and our power, how much and what kinds of collateral death do they cause yearly in America? Study CivicPowerUSA.org.
Help deploy this democracy weapon and tool throughout America.
Help lift the media machine's fog of deception that hides the illegal/immoral character, small size, and vulnerability of the right: The right's half-million-strong wealth/corporate core (0.2% of the public) -- which includes their key people in Corporate America, executive/legislative/judicial branches of our federal government, intelligence and military, red/blue political parties, and our mass media -- hungers for wealth and power; the 30-million-strong Christian-Right core (10% of the public) hungers for power and end times. The Christian Right, whose aggressive unChristlike brand of Christianity emerged a century after 1776, seeks power like the wealth/corporate core and supports wealth/corporate avarice and inhumanity here and abroad to fast-track arrival of bible-prophesied end times they yearn for. By enlisting the Christian Right in the 1980s, the wealth/corporate core grew the size of the right and the right's power during elections and influence over the elected by more than fifty-fold. That consolidation of wealth-and-power, using their media machine and rigged market-based democracy, is freely subverting America's government of, by, and for We the People into a government of, by, and for Wealth and Power. Neutralize the wealth/corporate core, and the power of the Christian Right dies also. The linchpin holding all parts of the right-wing juggernaut together consists of 537 red/blue elected federal representatives (0.0002% of the public) who violate our trust by serving wealth-and-power clients at the expense of We the People and our posterity in return for wealth/corporate campaign cash (transmuted into protected free speech by judges they appointed) and a bloc of Christian-Right votes (made effective by the right's suppression of voter turnouts); those 537 reds and blues deliver to their clients the domestic and foreign policies, laws and public money, and judge appointments and thence court decisions they want. That corrupt red/blue heart in Washington D.C. pumps wealth and power out of the public and into the consolidated-wealth-and-power few. 270 million conservative and liberal members of We the People being hurt by the right wing (90% of the public including mainstream Christians who outnumber the unChristlike Christian Right by six to one) can replace that corrupt heart with a principled one.
Help America clearly see friend and foe: True "conservatives" and true "liberals" are rooted in our Constitution; they strive to build and secure principled self-governance and bountiful public good. The "right wing" is rooted in acquisition of wealth and power at the expense of others; the offenses they commit are identical in character to those listed in the central section of the document of dissent we celebrate every Fourth of July -- the waging of war against self-governance and public good.
Help promote hot selling points of the full solution, including these: A new version of the 1776 Continental Congress arises (a broad-based national civic-action coalition operating outside the influence of Washington D.C. for the purpose of homeland/national defense against the right), lists the right's injustices and violations of law in a new version of our Declaration of Independence, and unites and builds and directs citizen forces to fight the right-wing homeland enemy. Citizens rediscover the homeland-security/national-security intent of the First and Second Amendments, and aim and fire principled free speech and symbolic flintlocks at the homeland enemy as resolute acts of "We, the People... provid[ing] for the common defence." A new political party devoted to serving the whole public/national interest (a spinoff from the new Continental Congress) easily trounces the red/blue monopoly betraying America; conservatives and liberals, including mainstream Christians who outnumber the Christian Right by six-to-one, flood to the polls and replace the corrupt heart in Washington D.C. with a principled one. America eliminates "corporate personhood," which never had a valid legal basis. After relearning how laws in America must be "made in Pursuance [of]" the principled self-governance and five classes of public good ordained in our Constitution otherwise they are not lawful laws, We the People reinstate early American corporate law: corporations exist to serve the public and are forbidden to hurt the public. America removes right-wing judges from the Supreme Court; our Constitution instructs how. America enacts/enforces political-influence reforms, especially lobbying and campaign-finance and media reforms, all needed to have principled self-governance again and with it bountiful common good. America reactivates the homeland-security system the Framers wired into our Constitution and Bill of Rights, the system of supreme-law measures designed to prevent the ancient wealth-and-power disease, which the Framers understood and feared, from ever flaring up inside our homeland and harming our self-governance and public good (the right and their media machine erased America's knowledge of, subverted, and shut down that system of law during the past generation). America carries out the five secular moral goals listed in the first sentence of our Constitution -- our American Values by law -- which vastly surpass the human-to-human goodness required by the Ten Commandments. Citizens en masse legally/morally force the wealth-and-power disease back into dormancy and resolve to vigilantly keep it there. Thus America replaces its unprincipled market-based democracy with principled real American democracy. Thus We the People become the government again, especially "for" We the People by restoring and growing the five kinds of public good. Taxpayers save/gain the amount being taken from them by the right, an average of $15k a year per taxpayer (totalling $2 trillion annually). Collateral damage from the right's runaway taking of wealth and power, homeland death at the rate of many 9/11s a year, ceases. Corporations including the media, again wisely regulated to serve and not hurt self-governance and public good (and themselves), prosper more than before and stimulate our economy. All of America's common well-being -- justice, cooperative unity, common defense, general welfare, liberty -- return and flourish. So does America's international good will, which diminishes blowback from abroad.
Help inspire America's most patriotic citizens -- those who will form the new Continental Congress, write the new Declaration of Independence, and found the new political party -- to forge and hone this weapon and tool into full strength and sharpness (the CivicPowerUSA.org website is merely a springboard and guide).
Help ignite the vast conservative-and-liberal majority to wield it as a weapon to neutralize the small and vulnerable right wing.
Help rally We the People to wield it as a tool to restore and grow America's self-governance and five categories of public good -- unfettered democratic processes, truly representative governance; equal justice for all, domestic tranquility needed for unity and cooperation toward self-governance and public good, common defense of self-governance and public good, general welfare of many kinds, liberty and its privacies and freedoms -- and to restore and grow America's international good will.
Team up and begin this resolute homeland/national defense of America's self-governance and public good BEFORE the right wing and their media machine totally cripple and sap the ability and will of We the People to stop them.
